This is a wine that is so good, it skipped the usual rigorous approvals process we put each of our wines through. It’s a rich and silky smooth white wine bursting with flavour from Hungary’s most famous wine region, Tokaj.
Furmint is the most widely planted grape in Hungary, and its spiritual homeland is Tokaj (pronounced Tok-eye). It has long been celebrated for its ability to make some of the best (but also the most expensive) sweet wines in the world. It’s now being used more and more to make powerful dry white wines, like this one. It will age well in the bottle, but we don’t trust that people will be able to resist it for too long.
