our producers

The wine industry has a problem with provenance.

By the time the bottle is in your hands, winemakers are barely mentioned - and instead replaced with overcomplicated tasting notes, or big brands.

Winemaking is a labour of love, and a complex craft. We don't ignore our producers, we celebrate them.

Located in Bathra, just outside the town of Argos, the Danaon Gea winery is run by Dimitris Douros.

Dimitris' father set up the winery in 1976 with very little cash, and now, 45 years on, it's thriving. They use extremely modern techniques in their state of the art facility, combined with a passion for tradition and heritage.

They stay true to the region by growing local indigenous grapes, and combine them with internationally known varieties to produce beautifully balanced wines.

We first reached out to Danaon Gea in August 2021, and after sampling the wines and hearing their story we knew that we would love to collaborate.

We worked on the labels together, and made our first shipment in December 2021.

We're thrilled that we get to work with such a prestigious winemaker, and couldn't be happier with the wines.
